HALLOWEEN AIRBRUSH FACE PAINTING

My artist, Ivan was engaged for airbrush face painting for Bacardi Ghouls Night Out, Halloween Nite at Clarke Quay Main Atrium on 31st October 2009, Saturday.

He airbrushed on guests face and hand. He did a quick job, on average 5 to 8 minutes per guest. Some guests like horror scars and others like spiders & webs.

On that night, he used UV body paints and you could see UV effect under florescent tube.

'Spider' mother and her 'Wolverine' son.

The 'Killer'.

The devil sisters.

This girl moustache was not done by my artist. I suppose her family drew for her.

The pretty 'Spider' girl and her 'Barcode' boyfriend.

The 'Bloody' man.

The half 'Skull' boy.

The 'Big Mouth'.

The 'Chucky' buddies.

The poison 'Scorpion' lady.

The most adorable ghost.

Normally, the event company or client will provide us with tables & chairs. However, we always reach the venue at least 30 mins earlier to display our booth. We add lights, displays & designs to make our booth more attractive. Same for our Airbrush Tattoo, we will set up our display with multi lights, photos & designs.

AIRBRUSH ARTWORKS

Our main artist, Ivan has been airbrushing artworks about 13 years ago since 1996.

He has never attended any art related course or school. He drew all walls full of his paintings when he was a kid.

He loved to buy lots of US fantasy art, sci-fri sketchbooks and airbrush related magazines that was quite costly at that time. His favourite artists are Frank Frazetta, Simon Bisley, Boris Vallejo and his wife Julie Bell. They are the art masters in United States.

He bought his first silent air compressor, air guns and accessories in 1995 that imported from oversea. He paid for about S$1,000 that was very expensive.

He started to airbrush as hobby. Here are some of his artworks done in 1996 to 1997 that I took photos of them for memento. He referred to his sketchbooks and artbooks that he bought as reference to practise his airbrushing. He added some 2D sculptures effect to enhance his artworks.

This is Ivan first airbrush artwork. He airbrushed Michael Jordan on his basketball.

Bruce Lee & Jackie Chan

He painted Bruce Lee and airbrushed Jackie Chan.
Bruce Lee died at the age of 32 in Hong Kong on 20 July 1973 while filming "Game of Death".

Ivan created this 2-in-1 artwork. He airbrushed both eyes in a crow.

Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee died at the age of 28 on 31 March 1993 while filming the movie "The Crow".

Those 2D sculptures were handmade by him and was his first attempt.

I will find more photos of Ivan earlier days artworks and upload them...
